Help – Polls Guide

Our vision for two-way presentations will always push us to make better interaction tools, because we believe the audience should be able to communicate back to you. We observed how you use Swipe to converse with the audience: teaching a class, pitching to clients or meeting people.

Polls

Polls in Swipe

Polls in Swipe allow you to ask your audience questions with up to four answers. Use them to learn and make your presentation just a bit more interactive.

Polls are great for classrooms, sales pitches, presentations to large crowds or for asking a client which version of a design they like best. A poll takes seconds to make and it works great on any size device. Watch the video below to learn more about how polls in Swipe work.

Creating a poll

To create a poll, press Edit on an existing presentation or create a new one. Then, press the Poll option in the content bar – a new window will pop up with a form that allows you to create your poll. Enter the question you’d like to ask, then fill up your answers.

Polls

Your poll can be whatever you’d like it to be. You can ask a simple yes or no question with 2 options, or a multiple choice one with up to 2 options. You can edit the poll later or reset the results and reuse the poll in a different scenario, all by pressing on its thumbnail in edit mode.

Polls

Viewing results

Your audience can vote on the poll whether you are presenting live or not. As long as they can access the presentation, they can cast a vote – your poll will work on any screen and any device. The image below shows how a poll can look like in the viewer.

Polls

Viewing and tracking results live is easy. Make sure you’re logged into your account, then enter edit mode on your presentation. Click on the poll slide to open a preview of it. In the preview, you can see all the votes that your audience has submitted so far. You can also reset the results or edit the content of the poll.

Polls

You can also see this during a live presentation without leaving the viewer. Press Control live to enter a live presentation mode and find your poll. Then, press View live results to track the answers as they come. The poll will update whenever somebody submits a vote.

Polls

Showing results

By default, your audience will not be able to see the votes that others submit. If you’d like to show the reactions live, press Show results to everyone when in control mode. This will show your audience the total number of votes, as well as how the votes are split across all the answers.
